Hyundai will be visiting CES for the third year in a row. They will be showcasing The Hyundai Mobis New Mobility Experience will will have on display their development in autonomy, vehicle electrification and in-car infotainment.
“This year, we wanted to show the public and our customers just how close Hyundai Mobis is to making the safe, eco-friendly and passenger-friendly autonomous car of the future a reality through the development of cutting edge interfaces and products,” said Executive VP, Yang Seung-wook, head of R&D at Hyundai Mobis. “We are committed to developing the technologies that will become essential parts of the vehicle of the future, and we are proud of the agility with which we are able to bring these concepts to life, which further reinforces our place as leaders in the industry.”
The exhibit promises to have a variety of things to experience including technology such as holograms and augmented reality (AR). There will be two total zones in the Mobility Experience. One experience zone, called the Infotainment Experience Zone which has a focus on Level 4 and higher autonomous driving and will highlight innovations such as bio-metric identification and vitals measurement. The second zone, called the Eco-Friendly Zone that will focus on green technology. Steer By Wire and Brake By Wire technology showcased along with kinetic energy conversion systems that turn vehicle motions into electric energy. You will also see vehicle grid technology that allows a vehicle to connect and communicate with the power grid. Some pretty cool stuff.
