A new report has been released that indicates the mobile health app market will be around $28 billion in 2018 and reach an astounding $102 billion by 2023. A majority of the health app market comes from North America but it is expected that Asia Pacific regions will show high growth over the next few years.
As with many things cloud-based solutions are becoming bigger factors in the mobile health app space. It’s easy to store things on the internet and with the likes of Apple pushing their Healthkit SDKs along with their very successful line of wearable watches, it will become even simpler to gather and store health data. It will make health management easier providing easily accessible health data and information faster. If you’ve ever had to fill out paperwork at the urgent care you’ll know why I’m looking forward to when all I’ll have to do is bring my watch or phone near an RFID enabled terminal.
